Pioneer Scones (Fry Bread) with Honey Butter

These delicious scones (fry bread) are perfect for breakfast or lunch. Smother them in honey butter for a real treat or turn them into a taco with your favorite toppings.

8 cups flour
3 1/4 cups water
1 tbsp salt
1/3 cup sugar
2 tsp instant yeast
1 cup butter, soften
1 cup honey
Oil for frying

In the bowl of your bread mixer, add the flour, water, salt, sugar and instant yeast. Knead for about 15 minutes. If you need to adjust flour and water to get dough consistency.

5
Fry the dough until golden brown on each side.
6
In a large bowl, add the softened butter and honey and whisk together until combined, light and fluffy.
7
Serve the freshly made honey butter with the fried scones (fry bread) and enjoy!
