Valentine Palmiers

Valentine Palmiers

These cookies are 3 ingredients, if you buy the puff pastry which I can’t imagine why you wouldn’t. But chocolate, puff pastry and sugar…oh my, the perfect Valentine palmiers!

Ingredients

1 pkg puff pastry sheets, two sheets per package
2 cups melted semi-sweet chocolate
1 cup granulated sugar

Instructions

1
Make sure the puff pastry sheets are thawed out.
2
Melt the chocolate and unwrap both sheets of puff pastry.
3
Divide the melted chocolate between the two sheets of chocolate.
4
Fold one edge of the puff pastry to the center. Fold the other end of the puff pastry to the center and than fold the puff pastry in half.
5
Sprinkle the puff pastry sheets with the sugar on both sides. Place in the freezer to firm up the dough.
6
Slice the chilled puff pastry into a 1/4 inch slices and place the slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment or a Silpat silicone mat.
7
Pinch the bottom tip of end of the puff pastry opening up the top portion of the palmiers into a ā€œVā€.
8
Bake the palmiers in a 350 degree for about 20 minutes or the cookies are golden brown.
9
Remove from the oven, cool, serve and enjoy. If desired, serve with ice cream or any favorite dessert dip.
