Ham and Pineapple Pizza

Hawaiian Pizza

This amazing Hawaiian pizza combination is delicious. Pineapple and ham always go well together. Instead of using “Canadian” bacon this recipe is using delicious honey glazed ham.

Ingredients

Pizza Dough: 4 cups flour
1 tsp instant yeast
1 tbsp season salt
1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
1 1/2 cups water
For the Sauce: 1 can Italian style diced tomatoes, 14.5 oz can
2 tsp minced garlic
2 tbsp freshly chopped basil
For the toppings: 6-8 slices ham, chopped into bite size pieces
4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
2 cups pineapple chunks
2 cups sliced mushrooms
1 cup sliced olives

Instructions

1
To make the dough, add the flour, instant yeast, extra virgin olive oil, season salt and water into the bowl of your mixer. Mix/knead for about 15 minutes. Spray a bowl and the dough with vegetable spray and let it double in size.
2
Preheat your oven to 500 degree’s with a pizza stone in it.
3
Dived the dough into two equal portions and roll each into a 16 inch (approximately) round. Brush each pizza dough with extra virgin olive oil.
4
To make the sauce, add the diced tomatoes, minced garlic and basil to a large bowl. Using a whisk, “mash” everything together to combine.
5
Roll each pizza portion into a 16-18 inch round and divide the sauce, mozzarella cheese, chopped ham, pineapple chunks, sliced mushrooms, sliced olives.
6
Place the pizzas in the preheated oven (right on the hot pizza stone) and bake until the crust is golden brown. Remove from the oven and top with fresh basil (if available), slice, serve and enjoy!
