Beef Bulgogi Bowls

Beef Bulgogi Bowls

Better than take out, these beef bulgogi bowls are a great dinner idea! Serve over rice or with lettuce to appease a hungry crowd. To spice it up a bit just add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the marinade.

Ingredients

1/4 cup soy sauce
3 tbsp sugar
3 green onions, finely chopped
2 tbsp toasted sesame seed oil
1/4 cup sesame seeds
2 tsp black pepper
2 tbsp minced garlic
1 pound beef roast thinly sliced
6 cups cooked rice
2 large carrots, peeled and shredded
1 cucumber, peeled and shredded
1 cup prepared kimchi

Instructions

In a large bowl, combine the soy sauce, sugar, chopped green onions, toasted sesame seed oil, sesame seeds, black pepper and minced garlic mixing everything together to combine.

Add the thinly sliced beef to the marinade being sure to mix the everything together to coat the beef. Cover and refrigerate for about an hour.

When ready to serve, sauté the marinated beef until just cooked.

To assemble the beef bulgogi bowls, divide the ingredients between four bowls starting with the rice. Arrange a portion of the cooked beef, shredded carrots, cucumber and kimchi on top of the rice. Serve with additional soy sauce if wanted.
