Pizza Balls

Pizza Balls

Here’s a wonderful appetizer idea or fun dinner idea for the kids or adults. My favorite pizza is pepperoni, however, you can use any kind of pizza toppings to create these delicious pizza balls.

Ingredients

1 pkg Rhodes Texas Rolls
1 can diced tomatoes (28 oz can)
2 tbsp Italian seasoning
2 tsp granulated garlic
24 pepperoni slices
2 cups shredded cheese

Instructions

Thaw and let the Rhodes Texas rolls, proof till doubled.

To make the pizza sauce, add the can of diced tomatoes to you blender along with the 2 tbsp of Italian Seasoning and 2 tsp of granulated garlic. Blend until a smooth sauce is created.

Flatten 12 rolls to to about 1/3 inch thick.

Spread 1 tbsp of freshly prepared pizza sauce on the flattened roll, followed by 2 pepperoni slices and 2 tbsp shredded cheese.

Pull the edges up to a point and reshape the dough into a ball. Place seam side down on a parchment lined baking sheet.

Brush with a butter mixture (4 tbsp melted butter, 1 tsp granulated garlic, 1 tbsp Italian seasoning).

Bake in a preheated 400 degree oven for about 20 minutes or until they are golden brown.

Remove from the oven and serve with remaining pizza sauce for dipping.
