Meatball Sub Sandwiches

Looking for an easy idea for dinner? This delicious meatball subway sandwich is really easy to make and delicious to eat.

Ingredients

1 pound ground hamburger
1 tbsp steak seasoning or to taste
1/2 cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs
1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese
1/4 cup dry parsley
1/4 cup Italian seasoning
1 tbsp minced garlic
1 egg
2 cups prepared pasta sauce
4 sandwich baguettes
8 slices pepper jack cheese
Vegetable Spray

Instructions

1
In a large bowl, combine the ground hamburger, steak seasoning, bread crumbs, parmesan cheese, dry parsley, Italian seasoning, garlic and an egg mixing everything together.
2
Shape twelve meatballs and place them in a preheated 350 degree oven for about 30 minutes or until they are baked through. Remove from the oven and set aside.
3
Bring the prepared pasta sauce in to a large pan and bring to a boil, reduce to a simmer. Transfer the cooked meatballs into the simmer sauce and cook for 10 minutes in the sauce.
4
Slice the sandwich baguettes in half, removing some of the bread from the inside to create a small well for the meatballs.
5
Lightly spray the prepared baguettes with vegetable spray and sprinkle with garlic powder and Italian seasoning. Place them under the broiler and lightly brown. Remove from under the broiler and spoon 3 meatballs and sauce into each prepared baguette. Top each sandwich with 2 slices and pepper jack cheese and place under the broiler to melt the cheese. Serve and enjoy!
