Creamy Mushroom Pasta Recipe with Garlic Toast

Indulge in the rich flavors of Creamy Mushroom Pasta paired with Old School Garlic Toast, a delightful dish crafted by Chef Bryan Woolley. This recipe combines the earthy goodness of mushrooms, velvety cheese sauce, and crispy garlic toast for a mouthwatering meal.

Ingredients

1 package of spaghetti
1 medium onion, sliced
6 minced garlic cloves
4 cups of chopped mushrooms
1/3 cup of flour
8 cups of milk
3 cups of shredded cheese
1 cup of softened butter
1 cup of finely shredded parmesan cheese
4 minced garlic cloves
1 loaf of Texas toast
Freshly chopped parsley
Olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1
Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions, drain, and set aside.
2
In a large frying pan, lightly coat the bottom with olive oil. Add the sliced onion, 6 minced garlic cloves, and chopped mushrooms. Sauté for about 10 minutes until the mushrooms have cooked down and released their water.
3
Sprinkle the mushroom mixture with flour and stir to combine.
4
Slowly whisk in the milk and shredded cheese, bringing the sauce to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for about 5 minutes until the sauce thickens. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
5
To prepare the old school garlic toast, use a food processor to blend the softened butter, finely shredded parmesan cheese, and 4 minced garlic cloves into a smooth paste.
6
Spread the garlic butter mixture over thick slices of Texas toast and grill until golden brown on both sides.
7
Place the cooked pasta in a large bowl and pour the piping-hot sauce over it. Mix to combine.
8
Serve the creamy mushroom pasta with the old school garlic toast and a side of quick green salad. Enjoy!
