Taco Pizza

Taco Pizza

When I made this pizza, I couldn’t believe how delicious it was. With the addition of tortilla chips and the fresh greens on top, you will definitely have a new favorite pizza!

Ingredients

2 lbs. pizza dough (recipe link below)
2 cups corn meal
1 cup prepared Ranch dressing
1/4 cup sriracha
4 cups shredded cheese (I used a Mexican blend)
1 pound hamburger
2 tsp season salt
2-3 cups tortilla chips
4-6 cups shredded iceberg lettuce
1 bunch cilantro, chopped
1/2 red onion thinly sliced
1 cup pico de gallo
juice from one fresh lime
1 cup prepared guacamole

Instructions

1
If you need an amazing pizza dough recipe, here’s the dough I like to use https://cookingwithchefbryan.com/recipe-view/carne-asada-blue-cheese-sour-dough-pizza/ I do add about 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil to this dough.
2
Preheat your oven with a pizza stone to 450 degrees.
3
Add the hamburger meat to a large sauté pan and fully cook. If the hamburger is extremely fatty, transfer to a strainer and let the fat drain off. Return the meat to the sauté pan and sprinkle the seasoning salt. Stir to mix the seasoning salt and hamburger together. Set aside until ready to use.
4
Sprinkle the corn meal onto your pizza peel or your pizza round baking sheet. Divide the dough in half and carefully press the dough into a 12 inch circle.
5
Using your pizza peel or leaving the dough on the pizza round baking sheet, place the dough onto the preheated pizza stone and partially bake the dough until it is about 80 percent cooked through.
6
Remove the partially baked pizza round from the oven and spread 1 cup of the creamy jalapeño mixture on top of the pizza followed by half the cheese, hamburger and tortilla chips. I like to some shredded cheese over the tortilla chips.
7
Place the prepared pizza back onto the pizza stone and continue cooking for an additional 10 minutes or until the crust is brown and the cheese is bubbling.
8
While the pizza is cooking assemble the “salad” portion of the pizza. In a large bowl combine the shredded iceberg lettuce, chopped cilantro, red onion, pico de gallo and the fresh lime juice. Toss to coat and combine.
9
Remove the pizza from the oven and top with half of the lettuce mixture and guacamole.
10
Repeat the instructions to make the second pizza. Serve and Enjoy!
