South Side Pizza

Pizza Dough

Oak Wood Fire Kitchen has some of the best wood fired pizza ever. Chef Brandon Price shares a version of his pizza dough with us to enjoy at home. Be creative with your toppings for an amazing pizza!

Ingredients

8-9 cups bread flour
2 1/2 cups of water (more if needed)
1 tsp instant yeast
2 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions

1
In a stand mixer, mix all of the ingredients together until everything is well mixed together. Let the dough rest for 20 minutes to allow the dough to hydrate appropriately.
2
After 20 minutes, knead the dough until it is smooth (about 10 minutes).
3
Spray the dough with vegetable oil, cover and let it rest overnight.
4
Divide the dough into four even portions shaping into rounds. Cover and let rest for 20 minutes.
5
Shape each portion into a 10 or 12 inch round and use your favorite toppings to create a delicious pizza.
6
Bake the pizza in a 500 degree preheated oven (preferably with a pizza stone) until the cheese is bubbling and the crust has turned golden.
7
Remove the pizza from the oven, cut into slices, serve and enjoy!
