Chicken, Mushroom, and Garlic Stir Fry Recipe | A Flavorful Delight

Ingredients

2 chicken breasts
2 cups quartered button mushrooms
21 whole cloves garlic
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp cornstarch
1 tbsp cooking wine
Cooking oil
Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Cut the chicken breasts into 1/2-inch cubes and place them in a large bowl. Set aside.

In a separate bowl, place the quartered mushrooms. Set aside.

Place the whole cloves of garlic in another bowl. Set aside.

In the bowl with the chicken, toss the chicken pieces with soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and cooking wine. Ensure the chicken is thoroughly coated with the mixture. Set aside.

Heat a large wok on the stove and add enough cooking oil to lightly coat the bottom of the wok.

Add the garlic cloves to the wok and stir-fry them just until they start to turn golden. Add the chicken to the wok and stir-fry for about 5 minutes or until it is 95 percent cooked through. Add the quartered mushrooms to the wok and continue cooking until the chicken is fully cooked.

Meanwhile, prepare chow mein noodles according to the package directions.

On a side note, I love putting chopped up fresh burdock root and ginger in this stir fry.
