Cheese Manicotti

Cheese Manicotti

Delicious and easy to make, these cheese manicotti’s are a great idea for dinner! The shells aren’t pre-cooked so they’re easy to fill and they cook in the sauce in the oven, easy easy easy!

Ingredients

1 package prepared manicotti shells, 8 oz pkg
1 container ricotta cheese, 30 oz container
2 eggs
2 tbsp Italian seasoning
1 cup shredded cheese, your choice
1 can traditional pasta sauce, 24 oz can
Shredded cheese for the top
Shredded parmesan cheese for the top

Instructions

1
In a large bowl, mix the ricotta cheese, eggs, Italian seasoning, 1 cup shredded cheese, salt and pepper to taste together in a large bowl until combined.
2
Spray a 9x13 baking dish with vegetable spray and pour about 1 cup of the prepared sauce into the bottom of the baking dish and spread around so it coats the bottom of the baking dish.
3
Transfer the ricotta cheese filling to a piping bag and pipe the cheese filling into the uncooked manicotti shells and place them into the prepared baking dish.
4
Once all the manicotti shells are filled, pour the remaining sauce over the top, sprinkle with cheese and cover with aluminum foil.
5
Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and place in a pre-heated 350 degree oven for approximately 45 minutes. After 45 minutes, remove the aluminum foil and check the doneness of the noodles. Remove the aluminum foil if the noodles are cooked and allow the cheese to brown.
6
Remove from the oven, serve with your favorite side dishes and enjoy!
