Marinated Hanger Steak with Chimichurri Sauce

Marinated Hanger Steak with Chimichurri Sauce

This amazing dish is so flavorful and easy to make. You can use hanger, flank or skirt steak and to save a step, I like buying pre-marinated steaks to save time. Serve with your favorite side dishes for an amazing dinner.

Ingredients

2 lbs pre-marinated hanger, flank or skirt steak
1 bunch Italian parsley
1 bunch cilantro
2 tsp freshly chopped oregano
2 tsp crushed red chili flakes
1 tbsp minced garlic
2 tbsp red wine vinegar
1/4 cup olive oil
1 tbsp honey
salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1
Purchase the pre-marinated steaks from the grocery store and grill to desired doneness. These types of steaks I never grill past medium rare or they may be really tough.
2
Once the steaks are grilled to desired doneness, remove and set aside.
3
In the bowl of your food processor with the blade attachment, add the parsley, cilantro, oregano, crushed red chili flakes, min red garlic, red wine vinegar, olive oil, honey, salt and pepper. Pulse everything together until finely chopped and combined. If the chimichurri sauce is too thick, add a tbsp of water at a time until the consistency desired is reached.
4
Thinly slice the steak and serve with the chimichurri sauce spooned over the top or on the side of the steak. I like serving with baked potatoes and carrots on the side, however, you can serve with your favorite sides.
