Brazilian Pastels

Brazilian Pastels

Braza Grill shares their delicious Brazilian pastels with the easy recipe. Make them as appetizers or a main dish for your dinner guests.

Ingredients

1/2 cup chop finely chopped onion
1 pound lean ground beef
1/2 cup green olives, pitted and chopped
1 cup shredded mozzarella
Large wonton wrappers
Vegetable oil for frying
Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Heat a large sauté pan on the stove and add a couple of tbsp of oil to to the pan. Add the chopped onion and sauté for 3-4 minutes.

Add the ground beef and fully cook through.

Mix the green olives and mozzarella cheese mixing everything together until combined. If desired, do two different pastels using just meat or just cheese.

Place a large wonton wrapper on your work surface adding a spoonful of the fill-in into the center of the wonton. Fold the corner over the meat filling sealing the edges into a triangle shape. If needed, use a fork to seal the edges.

Heat your oil to 350 degree’s.

Carefully deep fry the pastels until they are golden brown.

Serve with your favorite sauce for dipping and enjoy!
