Ingredients

1 steak, cut into strips
1 bell pepper, cut into strips
1 onion, sliced
1 tbsp fajita seasoning (or to taste)
2 cups prepared pizza sauce
2-3 cups shredded cheese
Olive oil
1 egg for egg wash
For the Dough: 4 cups flour
2 cups water (adjust as needed)
1/3 cup sugar
1 1/2 tsp instant yeast
1/4 cup olive oil
2 tsp salt

Instructions

Prepare the Dough: Combine flour, water, sugar, yeast, olive oil, and salt in your mixer's bowl.

Mix/knead for 10 minutes Spray the dough with vegetable spray, cover, and let it rise until doubled.

Sauté the Fajita Filling: In a large skillet, sauté steak strips, bell pepper, onion, and fajita seasoning until cooked. Adjust seasonings, set aside to cool.

Assemble the Calzone: Spoon 1/4 cup of pizza sauce onto the dough. Add 1 cup of sautéed fajita mixture and a handful of cheese. Fold the dough, seal edges to create the calzone.
