Ingredients

2 pounds ground pork shoulder
2 eggs
2 tbsp pork rub seasoning
1 tbsp granulated garlic
1 tbsp onion powder
1 tbsp black pepper
Condiments of your choice (onions, cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise…)
Hamburger buns
Vegetable oil spray

Instructions

1
Prepare the Ground Pork: Begin by grinding the pork shoulder using either a food processor or a meat grinder. This step ensures a fresh and perfectly textured base for your burgers.
2
Mix the Flavorful Seasonings: In a large bowl, combine the ground pork with the eggs, pork rub seasoning, granulated garlic, onion powder, and ground black pepper. Thoroughly mix all the ingredients together until they are well combined, infusing the pork with a mouthwatering blend of flavors.
3
Set Up and Preheat: For easy cooking and enhanced smokiness, place a cooling rack onto a sheet pan and spray it with vegetable oil. Set this aside for later use. Preheat your grill to your desired temperature or preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
4
Shape and Arrange the Burgers: Carefully form the seasoned pork mixture into burger patties and place them on the prepared baking rack. While the ground pork may initially feel soft, it will firm up as it cooks, ensuring a perfect texture.
5
Cook to Perfection: You have two options for cooking your pork burgers. For a delectably smoky flavor, grill the patties on your wood pellet grill. Alternatively, you can bake them in a preheated oven. Cook the burgers for approximately 30 minutes or until they are fully cooked through, ensuring a juicy and delicious result.
6
Create Your Customized Burgers: Once the burgers are cooked to perfection, remove them from the grill or oven. Now comes the fun part! Build your pork burgers to your liking, adding your favorite condiments such as onions, cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, and more!
