Shredded Pork or Beef Burrito with Salsa Rojo

Looking to satisfy your craving for a delicious shredded pork or beef burrito with homemade salsa rojo? Chef Bryan Woolley has got you covered with this easy-to-follow recipe. Whether you’re a seasoned cook or a beginner, you can whip up this mouthwatering dish with ease. Grab your ingredients and let’s get cooking!

Ingredients

2 pounds shredded pork or beef
4 cups cooked rice
2 cups cooked black beans
6 tomatoes
1 medium onion
1-2 tbsp minced garlic
1 jalapeño pepper
1 bunch cilantro
1 tbsp cumin
1 pkg Goya onion and garlic seasoning
Shredded Cheese, Sliced Avocado, Sour Cream
Flour tortillas

Instructions

1
Start by using pre-cooked shredded pork or beef. Preheat it in a pan and stir in the cooked rice and drained black beans. Mix everything together and season it to your liking.
2
Take your meat filling and spoon it onto a flour tortilla, then roll it up like a burrito. If you'd like, you can fry the burrito for added flavor, but be cautious to prevent it from opening up during deep frying.
3
To make the delicious salsa rojo, add the tomatoes (after removing any blemishes and the core) to your blender. Add the onion, minced garlic, jalapeño pepper, cilantro, cumin, and the Goya seasoning package. Blend until it's fully mixed. Season with salt and pepper if needed.
4
Serve your shredded pork or beef burrito with a dollop of sour cream, a sprinkle of shredded cheese, sliced avocado, a generous helping of salsa rojo, and some crispy chips.
