Sourdough, Sourcream and Ricotta Cheese Waffles

Sourdough, Sour Cream and Ricotta Cheese Waffles

Sourdough is good enough by itself but add sour cream and ricotta cheese and you’ll have an amazing waffle base for breakfast! Here’s a link to my sourdough starter.

Ingredients

1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup ricotta cheese
2 cups sourdough start
1 cup buttermilk
2 eggs
1/3 cup olive oil
1 cup self rising flour
1/4 cup sugar
1 tbsp salt
Cooking spray

Instructions

Add all ingredients into a large bowl and mix everything together until well combined. If needed, adjust the thickness with buttermilk or more self-rising flour to get the right consistency you need.

Spray your waffle iron with vegetable spray and add enough batter into your waffle iron as recommended by the manufacture. Fully cook the waffle.

Top the breakfast waffle with butter, sliced bananas and drizzle with syrup. Serve and enjoy!
