Funnel Cakes
Here’s a simple dessert that no one can turn down. Use your favorite toppings and build your favorite funnel cake!
Ingredients
3 eggs
1 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 cup sugar
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp baking powder

Heat about 2 inches of oil in a 9 inch cast iron skillet. The oil should be about 375 degrees when it’s ready to fry.

In a large bowl, combine all the dry ingredients and whisk together.

In a separate bowl, whisk together all of the wet ingredients.

Add the dry ingredients to your wet ingredients and whisk to combine. Adjust milk levels if needed.

Pour the batter into a gallon plastic bag and snip off the corner.

Drizzle the batter into the hot oil covering all holes. The drizzling should be random and create a lattice work.

Cook until the edges have become golden and carefully turn the funnel cake over. Be careful not to splash hot oil.

Continue cooking the funnel cake until both sides are golden brown.

Remove and drain on a paper towel. Serve with powdered sugar, ice cream, or fruit toppings. Enjoy!
