Homemade Caramel Sauce
Need a delicious caramel sauce for your next ice cream party? If so, this caramel sauce is for you! Serve it with my old fashioned custard vanilla ice-cream.
Ingredients
1 cup sugar
1/3 cup water
1/3 cup corn syrup
1 cup butter
1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
1 tbsp vanilla

In a heavy bottom sauce pan, add the sugar, water and corn syrup. Bring the sugar mixture to a boil and add the butter.

Gently stir the sugar mixture to evenly dissolve and distribute the butter.

Continue boiling the sugar solution until you begin to see small puffs of smoke and the sugar mixture has begun to change color.

Carefully pour the heavy cream into the pan while stirring. Be careful because it will spitter and spat. Continue stirring until everything is combined. Add the vanilla stir to incorporate. Remove from the heat and serve with your favorite ice cream.
