Easy Homemade Pizza
I love Italian food and pizza has to rank right up at the top! This easy to make pizza starts with homemade dough. Finish your pizza with the toppings you love! I like to serve my fresh chopped salad with Ranch dressing on the side.
Ingredients
For the Dough:
1 1/2 cups water
1/3 cup olive oil
4 cups flour
2 tsp salt
1 tbsp sugar
2 tsp instant yeast
For the Toppings:
2 cups prepared pizza sauce
6 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
30-35 pieces Italian salami
2 roma tomatoes, sliced
1 small red pepper, thinly sliced
1 small onion, thinly sliced
Instructions
1
Preheat your oven to 500 degrees with the pizza stone in the oven.
2
To make the dough, add the water, olive oil, flour, salt, sugar and instant yeast into the bowl of your mixer. Mix/knead for 10 minutes. Spray the dough with vegetable spray and cover. Allow to double in size (couple of hours).
3
Divide the dough into 2 portions and roll each portion into a round pizza (probably about 16-18 inches round).
4
Divide the toppings evenly between the two pizzas.
5
Transfer the pizzas to the oven on a pizza peel and bake each pizza in the oven for approximately 10 minutes or until the crust has turned golden brown and the cheese has melted and is bubbling. Every oven is different so adjust times as needed to fully cook the pizza in your oven.
6
Remove the pizza from the oven, slice and serve with my delicious chopped salad recipe with homemade Ranch dressing on the side. Enjoy!
