Zesty Lemon Garlic Shrimp Spaghetti

Ingredients
8 oz of spaghetti
1 lb of shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1 lemon, zested and juiced
1/4 cup of olive oil
Salt and pepper, to taste
Red pepper flakes, to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions

Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

In a large pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Add the shrimp to the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and cooked through.

Add the lemon zest and juice to the pan, stirring to combine with the shrimp. For another sauce variation add 1 1/2 cups of cream and 1 cup grated parmesan cheese, stir to melt the cheese and continue with recipe.

Add the cooked spaghetti to the pan and toss to coat in the lemon and garlic mixture. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes to taste.
