Sunrise Morning Smoothie
I love delicious smoothies in the morning and this one is at the top of list. Learn how to make nut milks, use your favorite morning ingredients and have fun making this sunrise morning smoothie.
Ingredients
1 cup raw walnuts
1 cup raw almonds
6 cups water, plus additional per instructions
1 cup chopped kale
1 banana
1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
2 tbsp peanut butter
1/3 cup rolled oats

If you are wanting to make homemade nut milks, soak the nuts in 6 cups of water for at least 2-3 hours. Pour water out, rinse nuts and add an additional 3 cups of clean water to your blender along with the prepared nuts.

***If making nut milks, blend the nuts for about 3 minutes, strain and transfer nut milk to the refrigerator and use with in 1 week. Use the strained nuts in your favorite baking dishes.

To the blender add the kale 3 cups nut milk and blend until everything is smooth and well blended.

Add the banana, frozen or fresh blueberries, peanut butter and rolled oats. blend until smooth and combined. I like to use frozen berries to chill my smoothies or you can add ice to make it slushy cold.

Serve in chilled glasses and enjoy!
