Russian Tea Cake Cookies

Russian Tea Cakes

When dusted with powdered sugar, these cookies look like snow capped mountains. Perfect for holidays, whip up a yummy batch of these cookies and fill your home with the aroma of the holidays.

Ingredients

1 cup room temperature butter
1/3 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 tsp salt
2 cups fall purpose flour
Additional powdered sugar for coating

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degree’s.

In a large bowl combine all of the ingredients together.

Using your clean hands mix the ingredients together until they are throughly combined and the dough can easily be shaped into one inch round balls.

Place the prepared “cookies” on a parchment lined baking sheet sheet and bake in the oven for 15 minutes or they are golden brown.

When the cookies come out of the oven carefully toss them in powdered sugar and then let them cool completely.

Once the cookies have cooled, toss an additional time in powdered sugar. Serve and enjoy! I like to dust with powdered sugar again just before serving.
