Rootbeer Floats

Root Beer Floats

Summertime is the season for homemade root beer and root beer floats! Making root-beer is simple and fun to do.

Ingredients

1 1/2 cold gallons water
3 cups sugar
3 tbsp root beer extract
1 pound dry ice
vanilla ice cream

Instructions

In a large container, add the water and sugar together. Using a large whisk or spoon, stir until the sugar has dissolve into the water.

Add the root beer extract and mix together. Be sure to check the recipe on the extract and if needed adjust the amounts of root beer extract needed. Every extract is different.

Add the dry ice and let it carbonate the root beer.

To make the root beer floats, add a scoop of vanilla ice-cream into a large glass and pour the freshly made root beer over the ice cream. Garnish with your favorite garnishes, serve and enjoy!
