Roasted Herbed Chicken

Roasted Herbed Chicken

I know it’s often cheaper to buy a rotisserie chicken, however, bring the aromas home for the holidays this year. This roasted chicken has the aromas of herbs, garlic, onion and everything nice!

Ingredients

1 whole roaster chicken
1 tbsp dry ranch mix
1/2 tsp dried basil
1/2 tsp thyme
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp celery salt
1 tsp black pepper
Vegetable spray

Instructions

1
Preheat your oven to 350 degree’s.
2
Rinse the whole roaster chicken off in your sink and be sure to remove (If any) the sack of giblets from the cavity of the bird.
3
Spray a baking dish with vegetable spray and place the roaster chicken in the dish, back side down and set aside.
4
In a small ramekin, mix the dry ranch mix, basil, thyme, garlic and onion powders, celery salt and black pepper together. Mix together to combine.
5
Sprinkle the seasoning liberally all over the bird. Sprinkle some in the cavity of the bird too.
6
Roast the prepared chicken in your pre-heated oven until the internal temperature in the “arm-pit” of the bird is 165 degree’s. Remove from the oven and let the chicken rest for 10 minutes.
7
While the chicken is resting, make some delicious rice from the drippings. When ready to serve, add your favorite vegetables and enjoy!
