Made with whole pineapple tidbits (juice included!), apple pie filling, and a touch of soy sauce, this glazed ham is slow-roasted for ultimate tenderness and flavor. Perfect for festive gatherings, this dish will steal the show!
Ingredients
1 large (20 oz) can pineapple tidbits, with juice
1 (21 oz) can apple pie filling
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 tbsp dijon mustard
1 glaze packet (from the ham package, optional)
1 bone-in spiral ham (8–10 lbs)
Instructions
1
Make the Glaze: Combine the pineapple tidbits (with juice), apple pie filling, soy sauce, dijon mustard and the glaze packet in a blender. Blend until smooth.
2
Prepare the Ham: Place the spiral ham in a slow roaster or a large roasting pan. Lightly score the surface if desired. Pour the blended glaze evenly over the ham, ensuring it flows between the slices for maximum flavor.
3
Roast the Ham: Cover the roaster or pan with a lid or aluminum foil. Roast the ham at 250°F for approximately 3 hours, basting with the glaze every 30 minutes to keep it moist and flavorful.
4
Rest and Serve: Remove the ham from the roaster and let it rest for 10 minutes. Slice and serve with the extra glaze for a delightful holiday centerpiece!
