Penne Pasta with Sausage
Enjoy this hearty winter pasta dish when the weather changes and get your family and friends around the dinner table.

Ingredients
1 pkg penne pasta (1 lb)
1 pound sausage
1 medium onion, chopped
1 can diced tomatoes (28 oz)
1 can water (use the diced tomato can)
1 can Italian tomato paste (6 oz)
1 bunch Italian parsley, chopped
Shredded parmesan cheese
salt and pepper to taste
Instructions

Cook the penne pasta according the package directions.

Strain the pasta and set aside until ready to use.

Heat the large pot again on the stove and add enough olive oil to lightly coat the bottom of the pot.

Add the sausage and chopped onion and saute until the sausage is fully cooked.

Add the diced tomato, water and Italian tomato paste to the pot. Mix to combine everything together and bring to a boil, reduce heat to a simmer.

Add cooked penned pasta to the pot and stir to combine together.

Once the penne pasta has warmed through again, transfer the pasta to a large platter.

Sprinkle the pasta with shredded parmesan cheese and chopped Italian pasta.
