Peach Cobbler

Peach Cobbler

I love fall because peaches are in season in all their glory. This peach cobbler is the best you will make and I’m sure all of your family and friends will love it!

Ingredients

6 large peaches
2 cups flour
2 cups oats
1 cup sugar
1 tbsp cinnamon
1 tsp salt
8 tbsp butter, frozen or well chilled
vegetable spray

Instructions

1
Preheat your oven to 350 degreeā€™s.
2
Peel, pit and slice the peaches into thin slices. Set aside.
3
In a large bowl whisk the flour, oats, sugar, cinnamon and salt together, set aside.
4
Spray your 9 inch spring form pan or a 9x13 baking pan with vegetable spray.
5
Using a box grater, grate 3 tbsp of the butter onto the bottom of the spring form pan or baking pan.
6
Sprinkle 1/3 of the flour/oat mixture on the bottom of the spring form pan gently pressing down to fill the pan.
7
Divide 1/3 of the sliced peaches on top of the flour/oat mixture. Sprinkle another third of the flour/oat mixture over the peaches. Continue creating two other layers being sure to finish with the flour/oat mixture on top.
8
Lightly spray the top flour/oat mixture with vegetable spray making all the flour/oat mixture has been lightly coated with vegetable oil. Grate the remaining butter over the top carefully spread out the butter to try and coat the top of the cobbler the best you can.
9
Place the cobbler on a baking sheet that has been lined with foil to catch any bubbling over.
10
Into the oven it goes for about 1 hour or until you see the fruit bubbling and it has browned. Cooking times on cobblers vary greatly due to the amounts of water in the fruit. So adjust times as needed, making sure the filling is bubbling.
