Paprika Chicken
With it’s beautiful color, rich flavors and simple instructions, paprika chicken is a great idea for dinner and a wonderful taste of Hungary.
Ingredients
4 skinless boneless chicken breasts, cut into cubes
2 tbsp flour
1 medium size onion, minced
2 tbsp paprika
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 tsp fresh thyme
3/4 cup chicken broth
1/4 cup white wine (optional)
2 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tbsp tomato paste
1/2 cup sour cream
Olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions

Heat a large sauté pan on the stove and enough olive oil to lightly coat the bottom of the pan.

Sprinkle the chicken with flour, salt and pepper. Toss chicken to fully coat.

Add chicken to the sauté pan and brown on all sides.

Add the onion and sauté until tender (about 5 minutes).

Add the paprika, garlic, and thyme. Sauté until fragrant (about 2 minutes). Add the chicken broth, white wine, vinegar and tomato paste. Stir to mix in tomato paste and bring to a boil. Turn heat to a simmer and allow mixture to reduce by half.

Add the sour cream and stir in. Check for salt and pepper and adjust if needed.
