Oreo Cookie Squared
I had a version of this cookie at my sister-in-laws house and loved them. I decided to call them Oreo cookie squared because these cookies are made by combine two of my favorite cookies, thus cookie squared!
Ingredients
1 pound butter, room temperature
2 cups brown sugar
1 1/2 cups sugar
3 large eggs
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp baking soda
2 tbsp vanilla
2 cup Oreo cookie crumbs
1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 1/2 cups white-chocolate chips
6 cups flour
1 ½ cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Instructions
1
Cream together butter and sugars for about 3 minutes.
2
Add the eggs one at a time and completely incorporate the egg before adding the next one.
3
Add the salt, baking soda, and vanilla and blend into batter. Be sure to scrape the sides of the bowl to incorporate all of the ingredients.
4
Add the Oreo cookie crumbs and blend completely into the cookie dough.
5
Add the flour and blend.
6
Lastly, add the semi-sweet and white chocolate chips; blend into the cookie dough.
7
Drop desired cookie dough size onto a prepared baking sheet. I fit about a dozen per baking sheet.
8
Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for about 11-14 minutes or until desired color is reached.
