
Old Fashioned Butter Cookies
These cookies conjure up memories of grandmas house around the holiday. Rich and delicious butter cookies are a must make around the holidays!

Ingredients
1 cup butter, softened
2/3 cup sugar
1/4 tsp salt
2 large egg yolks
1 tbsp vanilla
2 cups flour
1/3 cup milk
Instructions

Cream the butter and sugar together in your mixer for about 3 minutes, scraping down the sides as needed.

Add the egg yolks and vanilla mixing throughly scraping down the sides as needed.

Add the flour and milk throughly mixing everything together scrapping down the sides as needed.

Transfer the dough in between to pieces of parchment paper and roll it out to about 1/2 inch thickness. Place it in the refrigerator for an hour.

Remove the cookie dough for the refrigerator and place it on your work surface. Lightly dust the surface with flour and cut into 3 inch rounds (approximately). Place the cookies on a parchment lined baking sheet and bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for about 12 minutes or until the edges begin to brown. Remove from the oven and let them cool on the baking dish.

Once the cookies are cooled, decorate as desired. Enjoy!
