Mouthwatering BBQ Brisket Sandwich Recipe with Pickles and Onions

Looking to satisfy your cravings for a flavorful and juicy BBQ brisket sandwich? Look no further! This easy-to-follow recipe will guide you through the steps of creating a succulent beef brisket, paired perfectly with tangy BBQ sauce, crunchy pickles, and savory onions. Fire up your slow cooker and get ready to enjoy the ultimate BBQ experience!

Ingredients

4-5 pound beef brisket
2 tbsp steak seasoning
1 tbsp beef bullion
1 1/2 cups beef broth
2 tsp liquid smoke
1 1/2 cups BBQ sauce
1 tbsp soy sauce
Dill pickles, sliced
White onion, sliced
Large rolls
Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1
Begin by seasoning the beef brisket. Sprinkle the steak seasoning and beef bullion evenly over the brisket. Rub and press the seasoning into the meat, ensuring it covers the entire surface.
2
In the slow cooker, pour the beef broth and add the liquid smoke. This will provide moisture and impart a smoky flavor to the brisket.
3
Place a rack at the bottom of the slow cooker, and then place the seasoned brisket on top of the rack. The rack will prevent the meat from sitting directly in the liquid and help it cook more evenly.
4
Set the slow cooker to the low setting and let the brisket cook for about 6 hours. Slow cooking allows the meat to become tender and flavorful.
5
Once the brisket is done cooking, carefully remove it from the slow cooker and wrap it in foil. Let it rest for about an hour. This resting period allows the juices to redistribute, resulting in a more succulent and tender brisket.
6
While the brisket is resting, thinly slice the pickles and white onion. Set them aside for assembling the sandwiches later.
7
In a bowl, mix the BBQ sauce and soy sauce together. This combination adds a tangy and savory flavor to the brisket.
8
Slice the large rolls and spread the BBQ sauce mixture on one side of each roll. This will serve as the sauce for the sandwich.
9
Take the rested brisket and thinly slice it against the grain. The grain refers to the lines you see on the meat. Slicing against the grain ensures more tender and less chewy pieces of brisket.
10
To assemble the sandwiches, layer the thinly sliced brisket, onions, and pickles on top of the BBQ sauce side of the rolls.
11
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
12
Serve the BBQ brisket sandwiches with your favorite sides, such as coleslaw or potato salad.
