Monster Fries
Delicious and easy to make, these monster fries use mashed up potatoes to make a french fry dough. Cut them into longs strips, fry them up and watch them disappear! Serve them with my delicious Chili Filled Hot Dogs.
Ingredients
4-5 large russet potatoes, peeled
3/4 cups cornstarch
1 cup shredded cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
Oil for frying
Instructions

Cut the peeled potatoes into pieces and place them in a large pot. Cover with cold water, boil until they are fork tender.

Strain the potatoes and place them in a large bowl. Using a potato masher, mash the potatoes until they are creamy.

Add the cornstarch, shredded cheese, salt and pepper to the mashed potatoes. Mix everything together until well blended.

On a greased surface, roll the mash potato mixture into rectangle about 1/4 - 1/2 inch thick.

Slice the potato rectangle into strips and fry each strip until golden brown. Remove from the fryer and serve with your favorite dipping sauce!
