Meatball Sub

Meatball Sub

Here’s a delicious sandwich idea for game day or anytime of the week. Whip these up anytime for a party favorite or dinner!

Ingredients

1 pound ground pork
1 pound lean ground hamburger
3/4 cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs
1/3 cup grated onion
2 eggs
1 can prepared marinara sauce
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
4-6 hoagie or sub sandwich loaves

Instructions

Mix the meat, Italian seasoned bread crumbs, grated onion and eggs together until combine. Salt and pepper to taste.

Form the meat mixture into meatballs and fry the meatballs in a pan for color.

Pour the prepared marinara sauce into the pan with the meatballs and finish baking them off in the oven, making sure they are fully cooked through.

Slice the hoagie/sub loaves (don’t cut all the all through) and open them up.

Spoon three or four meatballs into the hoagie/sub loaves along with some marinara sauce. Sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese and place the prepared sandwiches under the broiler to toast them off and melt the cheese. Serve with your favorite side.s
