Marinated Hanger Steak with Gremolata
Hanger steaks are delicious. Whenever I go to Palm Springs, California, I love going to a popular local restaurant to have a similar dish.
Ingredients
1/2 cup sweet chili sauce
1/2 cup soy sauce
1 tbsp chili paste
1 hanger steak
1 bunch parsley
3 garlic cloves
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/3 cup olive oil
salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1
In a baking pan, combine the sweet chili sauce, soy sauce and chili paste. Mix together to combine. Add the hanger steak to the marinade and turn several times to coat. Let marinade for couple hours before grilling.
2
Heat the grill up and grill the hanger steak for about 4 minutes on each side or until the desired doneness is reached.
3
Remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for 10 minutes before serving.
4
While the steak is resting make the gremolata by adding the parsley (just chop of the bottom of the parsley and place the parsley into your food processor. Add the garlic cloves, chopped onion and olive oil.
5
Process the parsley mixture together into a pesto, if needed, add more olive oil.
6
Salt and pepper the gremolata to taste and serve with the grilled hanger steak. I like to serve french fried on the side.
