Homemade Thousand Island Dressing

Homemade Thousand Island Dressing

Thousand Island dressing is a classic, creamy, and tangy salad dressing that adds a delightful twist to your favorite salads, sandwiches, and burgers. With this homemade recipe, you can enjoy the fresh flavors without any preservatives. It’s quick, easy, and customizable to your taste! I used it on my grilled chicken sandwiches.

Ingredients

1 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish
1 tablespoon white vinegar
1 tablespoon finely chopped onion
1 teaspoon granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1
In a medium-sized bowl, combine the mayonnaise and ketchup. Stir until the mixture is smooth and evenly colored.
2
Stir in the sweet pickle relish, white vinegar, finely chopped onion, sugar, paprika, and garlic powder. Mix well to combine all the ingredients.
3
Add salt and pepper to taste, adjusting as needed.
4
Cover the dressing and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
5
Enjoy your homemade Thousand Island dressing on salads, as a dip for veggies, or as a spread for sandwiches and burgers.
