Pasta with Homemade Bolognese Sauce

Homemade Pasta and Bolognese Sauce

Delicious pasta with homemade Bolognese sauce is a wonderful idea for dinner. Family and friends will be smiling from ear to ear with this delicious dish!

Ingredients

1 pkg lasagna noodles
1 tbsp minced garlic
1/2 cup diced onion
1/2 cup diced carrots
1 cup diced celery
1 pound ground beef
1 cup beef broth
28 ounces diced tomatoes
1/4 cup Italian seasoned tomato paste
1 tbsp Italian seasoning
1/2 cup whipping cream (optional)
salt and pepper to taste
Olive oil

Instructions

Crack the pasta noodles into pieces and cook according to the package directions. If desired, make fresh pasta and cut into pieces. Cook the fresh pasta to al dente.

Heat a large sauté pan on the stove and add enough olive oil to lightly coat the bottom of the pan.

Add the minced garlic, onion, carrots and celery to the hot sauté pan, cooking for about 2 minutes.

Add the ground beef and brown. Deglaze the pan with the beef broth and reduce by half. Add the diced tomatoes, tomato paste and Italian seasoning stirring everything together to combine. Simmer and reduce by half. Add the whipping cream and stir in.

Fold the cook pasta pieces into the freshly made sauce. Serve with your favorite parmesan cheese and enjoy!
