Create a bold and flavorful blackened seasoning to spice up your favorite dishes in just a few minutes.

Homemade Blackened Seasoning

Make your own blackened seasoning at home with this simple blend of spices! Perfect for adding a smoky, spicy kick to fish, chicken, or vegetables. Here’s a link to my blackened salmon recipe.

Ingredients

1 tbsp smoked paprika
1 tbsp sweet paprika
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp onion powder
1 tbsp dried thyme
1 tbsp dried oregano
2 tsp cayenne pepper (adjust for heat preference)
2 tsp black pepper
2 tsp salt
1 tsp ground white pepper (optional)
1 tsp cumin

Instructions

1
In a small bowl, combine all of the spices (smoked paprika, sweet paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, oregano, cayenne pepper, black pepper, salt, white pepper, and cumin). Stir the spice mix until well blended.
2
Store the blackened seasoning in an airtight container or spice jar in a cool, dry place for up to 6 months.
