Homemade Beef Deli Meat Sandwiches and French Fries

Homemade Beef Deli Meat Sandwiches and French Fries

Delicious homemade beef style deli meat is easy to make and saves so much money. These delicious beef sandwiches are made with my homemade beef style deli meat and served with freshly made french fries and green salad, perfect for dinner or lunch!

Ingredients

1 beef top round roast
1-2 tbsp steak seasoning
4-5 Idaho russet potatoes
4-5 roma tomatoes
1 head iceberg lettuce
1 small red onion, sliced
Mayonnaise
Mustard
Season salt and pepper

Instructions

1
Spray the roast with a little vegetable oil and sprinkle the seasoning all around it. Press it down to stick.
2
Spray a baking sheet with vegetable spray and place the prepared roast on it. Preheat your grill, smoker or oven to 300 degree’s and roast the meat until the internal temperature reaches 140-145 degree’s. Remove the roast and let it cool completely so you can handle it (about 30-45 minutes).
3
Using a sharp knife or meat slicer, thinly slice the meat into deli type slices. I prefer refrigerating the roast over night and cutting it the next day.
4
Package the sliced meat and freeze what your not going to use in the next coupled of days.
5
Build the sandwiches with mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomatoes and onion as desired and serve with homemade french fries.
6
To make the french fries, square off the potato and slice in french fries. Place the french fries in a large bowl and toss them with about 1 tbsp (depending on how many fries you made need an additional few teaspoons to make sure they are all coated with cornstarch.) Fry multiple times remembering each time you fry them water is evaporating to eventually allow the natural sugars to caramelize giving you that crispy we all love. I continue multiple fryings until i start to notice the edges beginning to turn golden brown.
7
Once the fries reach desired golden brown, remove from the fryer and transfer to a baking sheet, season and serve.
8
To make the green salad simply chop the iceberg lettuce into bite size pieces along with any other things you like to add with your salad (on my show I added freshly chopped strawberries). Toss the ingredients together in a large bowl and simple sprinkle with season salt tossing one more time.
9
Transfer the salad to a large platter and let it rest for about 5 minutes before serving with the homemade beef deli sandwiches and french fries.
