Hamburger Pizza
This delicious pizza is a fun idea for dinner. I like making pizzas for dinner because I can easily re-purpose leftovers into another delicious meal.
Ingredients
Pizza Dough:
5 cups flour
1/3 cup olive oil
1 tbsp salt
2 tbsp sugar
2 tsp instant yeast
2 cups water
For the pizza sauce:
3 fresh tomatoes
1 can Mexican style stewed tomatoes
3 sweet peppers
1 tbsp salt
1 tbsp pepper
For the pizza toppings:
2 pounds cooked hamburger
3 tomatoes, sliced
1 medium red onion, sliced
1 red bell pepper sliced
4-6 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 package prepared dill pickle salad mix
Instructions
1
To make the pizza dough, add all of the ingredients into your mixer and mix/knead for about 10 minutes. Allow the dough to double in size and shape two large pizza rounds.
2
Preheat your oven to about 500 degrees.
3
Divide the sauce and toppings between the two pizza rounds and bake off in the preheated oven on a pizza stone or a baking sheet until golden brown and the cheese has melted.
4
Remove from the oven, sprinkle the prepared dill pickle salad (this is a salad mix I bough at Costco) over the top of the hamburger pizza, slice and serve.
