Grilling Steak Perfection

The Ultimate Guide to Grilling Steak Perfection

Nothing beats the sizzle of a perfectly grilled steak! 🥩🔥 Just fired up the grill and cooked up some juicy ribeye steaks to perfection. Seasoned with salt, pepper, and a hint of garlic, and grilled to a perfect medium-rare. The aroma and flavors are out of this world! 😋👌 Grilling season is officially in full swing and I’m loving every moment of it. Who else is firing up the grill for some delicious steaks? #GrillingSteaks #SteakLovers #BBQTime #GrillMaster

Ingredients

Steak of your choice (such as ribeye, filet mignon, or New York strip)
Salt and pepper (or any other preferred seasoning)
Olive oil or melted butter (optional)

Instructions

1
Prepare the steak: Take the steak out of the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes to 1 hour before grilling. This helps the steak cook more evenly. Pat the steak dry with paper towels to remove any excess moisture. Season the steak generously with salt and pepper, or any other preferred seasoning. You can also brush the steak with a little olive oil or melted butter for added flavor and to help prevent sticking to the grill.
2
Preheat the grill: If using a charcoal grill, light the charcoal and let it burn until it reaches a medium-high heat with white ash forming on the briquettes. If using a gas grill, preheat it to medium-high heat.
3
Clean the grill grates: Use a grill brush to clean the grates of any residue from previous grilling sessions. This helps prevent the steak from sticking to the grates.
4
Grill the steak: Place the steak on the preheated grill grates and close the lid. For a medium-rare steak, grill for about 4-5 minutes per side, flipping the steak once halfway through the cooking time. Adjust the cooking time based on your desired level of doneness and the thickness of the steak. To check the internal temperature of the steak, insert a meat thermometer into the thickest part of the steak without touching the bone, and remove the steak from the grill when it reaches your desired temperature: 125°F for rare, 130°F for medium-rare, 140°F for medium, 150°F for medium-well, and 160°F for well-done.
5
Let the steak rest: Once the steak reaches your desired temperature, remove it from the grill and let it rest for about 5 minutes on a cutting board. This allows the juices to redistribute and results in a juicier steak.
6
Slice and serve: After resting, slice the steak against the grain for maximum tenderness. Serve the steak hot and with your favorite sides, enjoy!
