Grilled Skirt Steak with Creamy Citrus Sauce

Elevate your grilling game with this flavorful Grilled Skirt Steak topped with a zesty and creamy citrus sauce. Perfect for outdoor cookouts or a casual family dinner, this dish brings a bright burst of flavor to your table.

Ingredients

1 beef skirt steak (1 to 1.5 pounds), cut into 4 to 6-inch portions
1/2 cup fresh orange juice
1/3 cup finely chopped fresh cilantro
2 tablespoons dried Mexican seasoning, crushed
3/4 cup dairy sour cream
2 tablespoons finely chopped green onion
Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

Marinate the Steak: In a small bowl, mix the orange juice, cilantro, and Mexican seasoning. Place the steak and 1/3 cup of the orange juice mixture in a food-safe plastic bag. Turn to coat evenly. Seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 6 hours or overnight, turning occasionally.

Prepare the Creamy Citrus Sauce: Mix the remaining orange juice mixture with sour cream and green onion. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve (can be prepared up to 1 day in advance).

Grill the Steak: Preheat the grill to medium heat. Remove the steak from the marinade and discard the marinade. Grill the steak over medium heat, covered, for 7 to 12 minutes, turning occasionally. Cook to your desired doneness: Medium Rare: 145°F Medium: 160°F

Serve: Slice the steak thinly across the grain. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve with the creamy citrus sauce on the side.
