Grilled Chicken Sandwiches with Garlic Bread and Onions
Easy and delicious are two of my favorite words! Fortunately, they describe this wonderful grilled chicken sandwich. Made with toasted garlic bread and grilled onions, this sandwich is a winner all the way around!
Ingredients
6 chicken boneless skinless chicken thighs
4-6 buns, sliced in half
1 tbsp garlic powder
6 slices onion
4 roma tomatoes, sliced
Sliced cheese, Optional
Iceberg lettuce
Vegetable spray
Mayonnaise
Instructions

Slice the bread buns in half and spray each side with vegetable spray. Sprinkle each slice with the garlic powder dividing it between the bread slices.

Broil the bread slices until they are just golden brown, remove from the broiler and set aside until ready to assemble.

Sprinkle the chicken thighs with your favorite chicken seasoning and grill until they are fully cooked through (165 degreeās internally).

To assemble the grilled chicken sandwiches, spread some mayonnaise on the toasted garlic bread and top with sliced tomato followed by the grilled chicken thighs. If desired, place a slice of cheese on each one. Finish with a slice of lettuce, serve and enjoy with your favorite sides. I serve mine with chips and one of my cherry chocolate chip oatmeal cookies.
