Grilled Beef Tri-Tip with a Horseradish Sauce

Grilled Beef Tri-Tip with a Horseradish Sauce

The trick to a tender grilled tri-tip roast is not over cooking it. Once grill thinly slice the roast to keep it nice and tender. To enhance the flavor, try adding my delicious horse radish sauce for a special treat.

Ingredients

1 tri-tip beef roast, seasoned as desired
1 egg yolk
1 stick butter (8 tbsp)
1/2 tsp salt
1 tbsp lemon/lime juice
1 tsp dijon mustard
1 tbsp water
1 tbsp horse radish cream
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1
Grill the seasoned beef tri-tip to medium rare or desired doneness. Let rest and cut into thin slices and set aside.
2
Using a small neck container (one that comes with an immersion blender works great).
3
To the container, add the egg yolk, salt, lemon/lime juice, water, horse radish cream, cayenne pepper, salt and pepper to taste.
4
In a small sauce pan, melt 1 stick of butter (8 tbsp). The butter should be about 218 degree’s.
5
Using your immersion blender, mix the egg mixture together while drizzling in the hot melted butter. Let the sauce emulsify into a delicious sauce. Serve with the grilled tenderloin, baked potatoes and your favorite vegetable on the side.
