Green Eggs and Ham
This inspired recipe from the #AmericanHeartAssociation is a delicious and fun way to get a healthy breakfast. Packed with protein and nutrients, its a great way to start your day!
Ingredients
8 egg whites
1 avocado
4 slices of ham, diced
4 ramekins
salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350 degreeās.

Place the egg whites in a large bowl and set aside.

Remove the flesh from the ripe avocado and throughly mash with a fork.

Add the mashed avocado to the egg whites along with the pepper and whisk together until frothy. Salt and pepper to taste or to your dietary needs.

Lightly spray the ramekins with cooking spray and divide the ham in half. Put half of the ham into the ramekins dividing it equally amongst the four.

Pour the green eggs into the ramekins and top each ramekin with the remaining ham, dividing it equally amongst the ramekins.

Place the filled ramekins on a baking sheet and into the preheated oven and bake for about 25 minutes or until the tops are golden brown.

Remove from the oven, serve and enjoy!
