Fresh Fruit Galettes

Fresh Fruit Galettes

Want to enjoy a fresh fruit pie but don’t want to have the hassle of making it? These fresh fruit galettes are the easies desserts in the world to make. I use prepared pie crusts and fruit in season to create the tasty treats.

Ingredients

6 cups prepared fruit (pears, peaches, apples, plum…)
1/2 -1 cup brown sugar
1 tsp salt
1-2 tbsp cornstarch
1 pkg prepared pie crusts (2 crusts)

Instructions

1
Preheat oven to 350 degree’s.
2
In a large bowl add the prepared fruit along with the brown sugar, salt and cornstarch. Depending on the ripeness/sweetness of your fruit (as well as the juicy content) you may need to adjust the amount sugar and cornstarch as represented in the recipe.
3
Mix the fruit mixture together until well combined. Let the fruit sit for 5 minutes to allow the juices to come out and mix again making sure everything is mixed together with the fruit.
4
Place the prepared pie dough on a piece of parchment paper that has been placed in a baking sheet. Divide half of the fruit into the center of the pie crust, fold the edges of the pie crust up and over the fruit.
5
Brush the edges with egg and place into your preheated oven and baked for about 30 minutes or until the crust is golden and the filling is bubbling.
6
Repeat the process with the second pie crust. Enjoy!
