Egg Substitutions

 

1 large egg measures 1/4 cup, so adjust substitutions accordingly. Here are three substitutions in baking that can be used. Choose one and give it a try.

If you’re needing it to act as a leavening agent, substitute with 1/4 tsp baking powder per egg.

1/4 cup apple sauce

1/4 cup mashed bananas

2 tbsp water plus 2 tbsp oil
