Easter Ham

Easter Ham

Easter ham is a family favorite and this recipe will free up time to enjoy Easter. Bake up the ham the day before and simply glaze it before serving.

Ingredients

1 ham, 8-9 pound ham
1/3 cup honey
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 cup water
2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground cloves
1/4 tsp ground ginger
1 tbsp granulated garlic
1 tbsp onion powder
1 tbsp ground mustard

Instructions

1
Bake the ham the day before Easter to 140 degree’s internally (will take about 90 minutes in a 350 degree oven). Remove from the oven, cool, cover and refrigerate overnight.
2
About 90 minutes before dinner time, mix up the honey, brown sugar, water, cinnamon, ground cloves, ground ginger, granulated garlic, onion powder and ground mustard.
3
Preheat your oven to 200 degree’s.
4
Microwave or heat on the stove the spice mixture to dissolve the brown sugar and honey.
5
Place the ham in a deep sided baking dish and pour the glaze mixture over the ham.
6
Place the ham in the oven and bake for about 1 hour, basting the ham with the spice mixture about every 10 minutes.
7
Remove from the oven and let the ham sit for 10 minutes. Carve up as usual, serve and enjoy!
