Chocolate Chip Cinnamon Swirls
Two of my favorite desserts, cinnamon rolls and chocolate chip cookies combined into one heavenly dessert. I frost these with a cream cheese frosting and sprinkle with decorations depending on the occasion. Every loves these and I’m excited for you all to try them!
Ingredients
1 Pkg Rhodes Traditional cinnamon Rolls, thawed
1 pound butter, room temperature
2 cups brown sugar
1 ½ cups sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp baking soda
2 tbsp vanilla
1 package semi sweet chocolate chips (about 3 cups)
6 cups flour
1 ½ cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Instructions
1
Preheat your oven to 350 degree’s.
2
Place six frozen cinnamon rolls on two parchment lined baking sheets.
3
Let the cinnamon rolls thaw so you can loosen the swirls allowing cookie dough to be placed into the gaps.
4
Cream together butter and sugars for about 3 minutes.
5
Add the eggs one at a time and completely incorporate the egg before adding the next one.
6
Add the salt, baking soda, and vanilla and blend into batter. Be sure to scrape the sides of the bowl to incorporate all of the ingredients.
7
Add the flour and blend.
8
Lastly, add the chocolate chips; blend into the cookie dough.
9
Scoop 2 tbsp of dough into your hand and mold into a round ball. Place the dough on your work surface and roll into a six inch rope.
10
Carefully place the rope into the cinnamon gaps creating the chocolate chip cinnamon swirls.
11
Bake in your preheated oven for about 15 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from the oven and let them sit on the baking sheets for about 10 minutes or until they have set. Remove and place on a cooling rack until they are completely cool.
12
Use the cream cheese frosting included with the cinnamon rolls and ice the chocolate chip cinnamon swirls. Decorate as desired, serve and enjoy!
