Brown Sugar Glazed Baked Ham

Brown Sugar Glazed Baked Ham

Here’s an easy Easter ham that’s both sweet and savory. You don’t have to wait for a holiday to enjoy this delicious treat. I love baking off a large ham then enjoy ham sandwiches throughout the week.

Ingredients

1 bone in spiral cut ham, 10 lbs
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup orange juice
1/2 cup honey
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground cloves

Instructions

1
Preheat your oven to 350 degree’s.
2
In a large sauce pan, add the brown sugar, orange juice, honey, cinnamon and ground cloves bringing the mixture to a boil while gently stirring.
3
Place the ham in a baking dish and set aside.
4
One the glaze has come to a boil, pour half of it over the ham, trying to get it into each slice the best you can.
5
Tightly cover the ham with aluminum foil so when it goes in the oven, it will “steam” rather than roast.
6
If re-heating an already cooked ham, plan on about 10 minutes per pound and if cooking a raw ham, plan on about 20 minutes per pound.
7
When the ham reaches 130 degree’s internally, uncover it and pour the remaining glaze over it. Continue to roast the ham until the internal temperature reaches 145 degree’s.
8
Remove from the oven and let it sit for 10 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
